I just bought a 75 celica 1600 and was wondering if I could drop a supra 5 speed in it if it's before an 85 model ?

Well, if you have a TA22 then
- the Trans tunnel needs a little massaging - you'll need a custom gearbox crossmember (use the auto Trans crossmember as a starting point)
- auto tailshaft
- if your still using T engine, you'll need a 3TGTE bellhousing or a custom bellhousing

If you have a RA/TA23 Celica then you'll need everything above If your matin to a T engine except tunnel massaging. If you have a R engine, you'll already have a strong W50 box in there already.

Oh, and all that info does factor in the gear lever protruding through the floor will be in a different spot. There are different gear lever housing for W series boxes used in differnt models so you'll need to experiment.
